Ingegerd Råman

Ingegerd Råman (born in Stockholm in 1943) studied at Carl Malmsten’s Capellagården, Öland, at the University of Arts, Crafts & Design in Stockholm andat the Istituto Statale d’Arte per la Ceramica in Faenza, Italy.

In 1967, Råman started her own ceramics studio in Skåne and throughout her career, she has worked as both a ceramics and glass designer. Ingegerd Råman’s designs have earned multiple Swedish Design Awards, and her work is represented at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, the Riihimäki Glas Museum i Finland and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Råman is among Orrefors’ most influential designers with an elegant style that remains a future benchmark.
